Our Restoration Process
Step 1: Emergency Contact
Our work starts when you call us at 847-526-0090.
We also work directly with most insurance companies, easing another burden.
Step 2: Inspection and Assessment
We look at the extent of the damage, regardless of its cause.
SERVPRO of Barrington/North Schaumburg documents every part of the assessment. We provide photographs and other assessments to our clients and to the insurance company.
Step 3: If Required, Board-up and Roof Tarp
Fires and severe storms can leave building interiors open to the elements. We board up missing walls and windows and put tarps over damaged roofs.
SERVPRO of Barrington/North Schaumburg also provides pack-up and move-out services if the damage is extensive. These services make the structural cleaning easier and faster.
We also have a contents claim inventory service that documents the conditions of electronics, documents, equipment, furniture, and other belongings, all of which we try to restore.
Step 4: If Required, Extract water and Dehumidify
Water may cause significant damage on its own. Our equipment can remove thousands of gallons of water. We also have powerful dehumidifiers and dryers.
Step 5: If Required, Remove Smoke and Soot from all Surfaces
Smoke and soot continue to cause damage long after the fire is out.
Step 6: Clean and Sanitize
Cleaning removes all visible dirt or grime from surfaces, and sanitizing removes bacteria, viruses, and other microbial growth.
Step 7: Restoration
We want to restore the damage “Like it never even happened.” Restoration includes any or all of the following:
- Replace drywall
- Install new carpet
- Paint
- Rebuild rooms
