It is imperative that IICRC approved fire restoration procedures should be implemented as soon as possible after a home or business fire is out. SERVPRO of Barrington follows IICRC and SERVPRO approved procedures when cleaning up after a fire. The longer the delay in contacting us,the more opportunity there is for damage from water and smoke to intensify. It is surprising just how well restoration works in light of how destructive a fire can be. Depending on the damage, a home can often be restored to its pre-loss state. SERVPRO of Barrington/North Schaumburg has a difficult task to perform but we are well equipped to return a home or business to its original condition.
The fire restoration process involves the repair of any structure damaged by smoke, fire or water. Carpets undergo a process to remove smoke odor. Sub floor materials undergo inspection for damage and may need to be replaced. Upholstery and curtains are subjected to a similar process. Furnishings are taken to an off site location and restored to pre-loss condition and stored until return is warranted. Through the cooperation of the insurance company, SERVPRO and the insured the home or business can be restored and made safe once again.
