It Happened

I was getting ready to wash some dishes when I got a call that my pet dog, Sammy, was at the BAARK Dog Rescue in Barrington! Oh no! I didn’t even know that the little rascal had gotten loose. I ran out the door and raced to the shelter and got there just before it closed for the day. Poor Sammy looked so bereft, and he was so happy to see me - how could I get angry at his pitiful little face? On the drive home, I was having this nagging feeling that I forgot to do something before I left, but for the life of me I couldn’t remember what it was. That is, until I walked through the front door to a flooded downstairs. Yikes! I forgot to turn off the kitchen sink faucet! They cleaned, sanitized and deodorized the area and when they were done, you could never tell there had been a flood to begin with!
